Once again the Pittsburgh International Raceway hosted the MotoAmerica Championship of Pittsburgh, this year it was held on August 23-25. MotoAmerica is the home of the AMA Superbike Series, the premier motorcycle road racing championship in the U.S. The series crisscrosses the country in a 10-round championship with racers crowned as champions in five highly competitive classes of racing. MotoAmerica has reinvigorated motorcycle road racing in North America since taking over the series in 2015. The series features support from the majority of the motorcycle manufacturers as they use the series to promote their products in addition to using racing as a means to develop new and exciting products for their consumers. This is always one of the most exciting weekends of the year for many in the Western Pa. area and the PITT Race Complex is an exciting addition to the circuit. Thank you MotoAmerica for including Pittsburgh in your list of events. For more photos from this event go to https://thebikerstradingpost.smugmug.com/MotoAmerica-2019/ . Also, I do not normally post photos of the crashes but in photos 1645 and the following few, it was so great to see when #74 Bryce Prince went down to jump right up, start the bike back up and continue with the race.
